Der FC VBZ wurde im Jahre 1927 gegründet.Ursprünglich wurde der Verein für die Mitarbeiter der Verkehrsbetriebe gegründet, mittlerweile sind jedoch auch Auswärtige im Club herzlich willkommen.Trainiert wird immer mittwochs 19:30 bis 21:00 auf einem der Plätze am Hardhof (Hardhof 19 in Züri) bzw. im Winter 20:00 bis 22:00 in der Turnhalle der Schule Bad Allenmoos (Schürbungert 25 in Züri), ebenfalls mittwochs.
